The force is represented as fortress: the moral virtue that, in times of difficulty, ensures firmness and constancy in the pursuit of the good. She’s holding a sword, girds a column with the other arm. A lion, solar symbol of strength, courage and wisdom, watches at her feet.
One of the fortress’ attributes is patience. It has an open book in her lap, from which originates a scroll showing the verse 21:19 from the Gospel of Luke: “In patientia vestra possidebitis animas vestras” (“By your perseverance you will possess your souls”).
