I am a creative and experienced bas-relief sculptor, specialized in designing and realizing coin projects from concept drawings through completion (plaster model).

Francesca Abbate was born in Rome in 1986.
After graduating in Industrial Design at the ISIA in Rome (course A.F.A.M., Higher Artistic Education) in 2012 she passes the entrance test for the three year course of the Art School of Medals of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato with the highest marks.

Some samples of my work, divided by technique and materials. All techniques are connected to coin traditions, (e.g. high -fired enamel) and the art of modeling and engraving.
On commission, I realize projects, sketches,models, engravings and much more. I specialize in the design and production of coins, medals and gold ingots for minting. The design process follows various steps, in which the client may fully supervise and participate.
